Interpreting
For conferences, business meetings, seminars, international shows, business negotiations, factory and company visits, contracts, technical training, etc. Tektran can supply interpreters - simultaneous interpreters or consecutive interpreters - for a half-day or for full days.
The presence of the interpreter means that you can conduct your business easily, with no misunderstandings.
Simultaneous Interpreting
For conferences or lectures where simultaneous interpreting is required, sound-proofed booths are used for the interpreters and usually two or more three interpreters are required per language. Each interpreter can work for about 20 minutes at a time in his or her language booth (one booth per language) and then he or she has to hand over to one of the other interpreters. This system is absolutely necessary for correct simultaneous interpreting (also called conference interpreting) because after 20 minutes the mind of the interpreter tends to become blank or overcharged.
We can also provide the logistical support for simultaneous conference work (rental and installation of interpreting equipment, headphones, microphones, etc), using a team of specialized technicians.
Consecutive Interpreting
Consecutive interpreting (in which the interpreter translates what one person says, and then translates what the opposite number says in reply) needs only one interpreter - and that interpreter can often interpret in three or more languages where necessary.
Although interpreters are often able to work in various technical or business fields, we recommend nevertheless that you send some of your documents in advance to help the interpreter prepare for his or her work. He or she will then already be aware of the products or services concerned and will be able to provide the quality of service that you deserve.
